Some projects do more than just fill our days; they nourish our souls as translators. My recent immersion into the world of 'Princess Lyria's Last Collection', a precious collaboration born on the Reedsy platform, is undeniably one of them. Working on this book was far more than a simple stylistic exercise—it was a true emotional journey.

Translating this charming children’s book wasn’t just about aligning French words with English ones. It was about feeling Lyria's quiet strength, her gentleness, and her courage, and then conveying them with the utmost precision. Every sentence was carefully weighed, and every emotion deeply felt, so that the magic would resonate just as powerfully in French. My heart fluttered with every page, and I poured all my sensitivity into this adaptation so that future readers might also be transported into this enchanted world.

It is in moments like these that I realize how fortunate I am to do this job. Reedsy gives me the opportunity to meet passionate authors like Mary-Jean Harris and to focus entirely on what I do best: building bridges between cultures and hearts.

I cannot wait to see this book meet its French-speaking audience. I will soon be sharing some images from the book with you. I truly hope you will love 'Princess Lyria's Last Collection' as much as I do!
