My latest two children’s book translations are officially out! 📚✨

Receiving author copies of my translations is always a thrill, but seeing these two titles drop in the exact same month feels extra special—especially considering how completely different their worlds are!

On one hand, you have the sweet, poetic charm of a tale where a little princess discovers freedom through her bond with birds. Welcome to Princess Lyria and Her Birds by Mary-Jean Harris. 🐦👑

On the other hand, a totally wacky, hilarious universe where odd little monsters ask young Odette to help them escape from… rodeo clowns. Enter Odette and the Monstregghs by David Cronin. 🥚🤡🤠

👉 The translation challenge: Delivering the humor and double meanings, playing with sounds, and keeping all the original spark without losing a single beat.

Translating children's literature is the best. And as they say, "Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get." ❤️ You constantly bounce between sweetness, absurdity, and belly laughs—sometimes all within the very same book!

Either way, my daughters—who served as my first beta-testers while I was translating—were jumping for joy when we unboxed these two beautiful books!
